Artist statement
Color is the main emotional accent in her works. She uses pure, local colors, creating bold contrasts. Light does not model volume but emanates from within the colors themselves, reminiscent of stained glass.
Olesia Sikora reflects the archetypes of Ukrainian culture through the prism of contemporary decorative painting, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a space where harmony of rhythm, color, and refined graphic lines prevails.
The canvases are executed in oil and acrylic painting techniques.
In today's conditions, these canvases become a territory for therapeutic contemplation, offering the viewer a chance to find inner peace in the perfection of natural forms.
